New computer report

I am real happy with my new Dell laptop. I loaded Skype onto it and just had a long conversation with a ham friend of mine. He reports my audio was good, so I've decided to have Skype running most of the time when that computer is being used. I am trying to put a "Skype Button" in my posts. Skype is a nifty VoIP program like Yahoo Messenger that lets you talk for free to any computer anywhere in the world. Like Yahoo Messenger, it supports a web cam, file transfers, photos and text. I think if you click the Skype Button below, you can download the program.

New SMO on Tour One

Adraine M stepped down to regular supervisor a few weeks ago. He didn't like having to deal with operations MDOs like Etta L on a daily basis. A new maintenance manager was selected from Transportation. Everyone was worried as the man chosen was well known to be disliked by the truck drivers. But good news! He turned out okay. Rudy D is his name and he seems quite friendly to me. He knows nothing about maintenance, but he is an experienced manager and seems to be working good. So far, we all like him. I hope he keeps the so called status quo!

Here I am on my scooter at work. Just because I have a walking disability doesn't mean I can't work. I can get around the machines by holding onto rails, ect. and fix most anything. New machine operators are quite surprised when they call on the radio for an electronic technician for help and I drive up on my scooter! What a hoot!
